Thanksgiving Side Dishes That Are Sure To Impress

Not to scare you, but Thanksgiving is a week from Thursday.

I know. It's crazy. I literally have NO idea where the year has gone. The first half of the year always seems to pass by so slowly, and then, it seems like as soon as my birthday passes (July 22nd), it's basically Christmas.

I love Christmas and everything that goes along with it, which means my decorations usually go up before Thanksgiving and maybe overshadow it a bit, but I'm also a huge Thanksgiving fan.

Kyle and I have generally split up the holidays between our families -- we do Thanksgiving with my parents and Christmas with his parents. My parents always have a huge Thanksgiving dinner at our house with a bunch of friends and family. My mom cooks almost everything and it's absolutely delicious.

As we've gotten older, my siblings and I will usually take up cooking at least one side dish. Because I'm not hosting the whole dinner, this is my way to add something special to the meal. I generally spend weeks deciding on what I'm going to make and put a lot of love into it.

In case you're in a situation where you'll also be cooking, chances are you'll need a good Thanksgiving side dish to make yourself. I've gathered a few delicious favorites that range from classic to unique, and will give you some ideas to impress everyone at your dinner!
