Our Guest Bathroom Refresh plans

We've been in our current condo (a 3 br 2 ba) in Chicago for just under two years and it is finally starting to feel like home. Moving to a new city, having a wedding, buying a condo, and having a baby in one year (lol yes we did this and looking back it seems crazy) is the equivalent of ya know, lighting a pile of money on fire?

We have slowly and thoughtfully decorated our condo and looking back I'm glad we did it this way. There were very few impulse purchases that I now regret, and having time to sit with our space and use it every day has allowed us to also be incredibly practical.

I feel like we're finally in the fun phase of decorating a house where we basically get to tweak and polish to make it exactly what we want. (Our guest bedroom/office is the last big project that still needs to be done -- it's currently housing the TenSwim inventory that takes up 1/3 of the room so when that's gone, we will get to work in there and I'll share our plans).

Our guest bathroom doubles as Teddy's bathroom and has always been a bit of an afterthought. It's a small space and we just brought the rug and shower curtain we had from our old place (yes, it's a dinosaur haha Kyle loves dinosaurs). But recently we've decided it could use a bit more character. At first, I was thinking of tearing out the mirror, replacing it, and doing a sage green accent wall.

Then I came to my senses (our place is new construction, I don't think there is much ROI on replacing the mirror) and decided replacing the light fixture and changing out accessories would be plenty.Kyle got me this adorable print of a baby bear (Teddy bear if you will) as a gift and I couldn't decide where to hang it for a long time. I originally bought this print from Jamie Beck's Isolation Creation collection to hang in the guest bathroom but decided to swap it for the bear print instead so the bathroom will still feel like it's half Teddy's. We hung it yesterday and it's perfect. I'll put the other print in our room.

Other than that, we'll swap out the rug, shower curtain, and wall sconce for a refreshed and more sophisticated room. We'll add some accessories (to be honest, I'm still searching for a budget version of a few, but we'll see if I can find quality alternatives!).
